Congratulations to Jonathan Ferreira on receiving the LLRC Master’s Research Award

Congratulations to Jonathan Feitosa Ferreira on receiving the LLRC (Language and Literacy Researchers of Canada) Master’s Research Award for his thesis entitled: “Learning Language and Science at Play: Threads of Meaning-Making and Identities” (Completed August 2020; Supervisory Committee: Dr. Maureen Kendrick [supervisor], Dr. Margaret Early and Dr. Bonny Norton).

Jonathan will be presenting his thesis at the CSSE 2021 Virtual Conference. This award is given to individuals who demonstrate:

  • Excellence in research;
  • Creative and thoughtful representation of data;
  • Significance of the work for language and literacy education; and
  • Contribution to the research community in general.

Well done, Jonathan! We look forward to welcoming you back to LLED as a PhD student in September 2021.
