We are delighted to welcome Melanie Wong, a new tenure-track appointment in the Department of Language & Literacy Education effective January 1, 2021. Melanie will be joining us as an Assistant Professor of Teaching.
Biostatement:
Melanie Wong has extensive experience teaching in a K-12 context including as an elementary teacher, technology teacher, Alberta Initiative for School Improvement (AISI) Learning Leader, English Language Learner (ELL) Learning Leader and most recently a system ELL Strategist for the Calgary public school district. Her research interests includes K-12 students, ELLs, and technology-enhanced classrooms. She is passionate about connecting research with practice.
