The Master of Arts in Children’s Literature program celebrates its 20th Anniversary

The Master of Arts in Children’s Literature (MACL) brings together faculty from UBC’s iSchool and the departments of Creative Writing, Language and Literacy Education, and English Language and Literatures to provide a range of multidisciplinary perspectives on the study of Children’s Literature. Over 80 students have earned their MA in the program. The celebration included talked by co-founder Judi Saltman, author Kenneth Oppel, and scholar Leonard Marcus.

Former members of the department, Ron Jobe and Wendy Sutton, attended, along with current faculty, Theresa Rogers, and former MACL and LLED student, Kathie Shoemaker, and many MACL students supervised or co-supervised by our faculty.

Congratulations to the MACL program!
