Teresa (Tess) Prendergast successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on February 7, 2018 titled “Mapping the Early Literacy Ecology of Children with Disabilities in their Homes and Communities: Perspectives from Parents and Children’s Librarians”. Tess continues to work as a children’s librarian while teaching in the iSchool at UBC and Langara College and she has many plans for the future, all involving some aspect of inclusive early literacy.
