Teaching Canadian Children Chinese: Programs, Principles and Practices

The UBC Centre for Research in Chinese Language and Literacy Education (CRCLLE), in collaboration with the Vancouver School Board, is sponsoring the follow day-long symposium:
“Teaching Canadian Children Chinese: Programs, Principles and Practices”
Friday, April 20, 2012 (9 am – 4 pm, including complimentary lunch)

Dr. Myriam Met (University of Maryland)-expert in bilingual k-12 programs and pedagogy
Dr. Keiko Koda (Carnegie Mellon University)-expert in bilingual/biliterate reading research and practice

Dr. Patsy Duff
Dr. Ryuko Kubota
Dr. Duanduan Li

A detailed schedule with titles of talks will be posted by the end of March.
All are welcome to attend. Although encouraged to do so, participants do not need to attend the entire day if they have other commitments.
