Biography


Rosa Dene began her teaching career in Bolivia, and since then she has taught in Colombia, Mexico, South Korea and the United States. Rosa Dene is currently a research analyst, a Graduate Peer Advisor, and a Ph.D. student at the University of British Columbia. Rosa Dene has served as an English Language Fellow and as an English Language Specialist for the Department of State’s English Language Programs. Additionally, Rosa Dene has served as the Chair of TESOL’s Supporting Students with Disabilities Interest Section and as the Associate Editor of The Latin American Journal of Content & Language Integrated Learning. Her research areas include supporting ELLs with disabilities, disability and inclusion in the Global south, and inclusion and equity on college campuses. In her free time, Rosa Dene enjoys exploring the outdoors, experimenting in the kitchen, and curling up with a good book.
