Gunita Gupta

I have spent most of my life studying at UBC in one capacity or another. To date, I have completed three degrees and am currently working on my fourth (and last!). I am also a secondary school teacher In Langley, BC where I teach English and Foods.

Since I began teaching in 2014, I have been most interested in the ways in which teaching has been shaped over the history of the province. In light of this interest, my doctoral research is an exploration of the governance of teacher education in BC. Specifically, I focus on the implications of standards policies on teacher education.

I enjoy walking, cycling, cooking, and talking—often at the same time. When I am not out with the dog or on my bike, I can be found reading or at the gym…also often at the same time.
