On February 8th, the Faculty of Education and and Department of Language and Literacy Education co-hosted Dr. Carl James from York University, Toronto, Ontario, for an intimate discussion and Q&A session based on his book, Life at the Intersection, a study of schooling in the Jane-Finch community of Toronto. Thirty attendees participated in an animated discussion on race, equity, and class in Canada and beyond. Thank you to Dr. Ryuko Kubota and Sara Schroeter for leading the discussion.
