Students are advised to register early!
Faculty policy requires that courses which do not have minimum enrollments (18 in undergraduate and 10 in graduate courses) may be cancelled six weeks to one month before the first class.

Grading

LLED offers some courses that are graded and some (e.g., those in the Bachelor of Education program) that are pass/fail.

Courses that are graded at UBC use a percentage scale (0–100%) alongside equivalent letter grades. The undergraduate pass mark is generally 50%, while graduate minimum passing grades are higher (60% for master’s and 68% for doctoral students). It is essential to review the syllabus early in the term to understand how your work will be evaluated and how final grades are calculated.
