Please join us in congratulating Monica Shank Lauwo, a doctoral candidate in LLED, for being awarded the Douglas Ray Award from the Comparative and International Education Society of Canada (an association of the CSSE). The Douglas Ray Award gives recognition to outstanding research in the field of comparative and international education. Monica, who is co-supervised by Dr. Bonny Norton and Dr. Marlene Asselin, received the award for her paper, Language ideologies in multilingual Tanzania: Parental discourses, school realities, and contested visions of schooling.
