Please join us in congratulating Dr. Guofang Li, Professor in LLED and Canada Research Chair, for being awarded a $24,940 SSHRC Connection Grant to support a two-day international symposium hosted at UBC in May 2019: Supporting Teachers to Work With Culturally, Linguistically, and Racially Diverse Students, Families, and Communities. The symposium will bring together Canadian and American researchers and educators with a range of experiences working with teacher candidates, teachers, and other educators to address the education needs of culturally, linguistically, and racially diverse students and their families and to share contemporary knowledge and best practices.
Dr. Li’s team members on the grant are Drs. Jim Anderson (LLED), Jan Hare (LLED), and Marianne McTavish (LLED).
