Apprenticeship Series Workshop: Academic Job Hunting

The GPAs are excited to announce our next installment of the Apprenticeship Series Workshop: Academic Job Hunting!

Thursday, March 15th, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Ponderosa Commons Oak House, Multipurpose Room 2012

Dr. Anthony Paré, Dr. Meghan Corella and Ms. Claire Ahn (who recently secured a tenor-track research position at Queen’s University) will be participating in a 1 hour long-panel discussion.

The conversation points will include:
1) The doctoral phase: What to prioritize during your PhD, leading up to applying for jobs
2) The application package: Crafting a compelling package
3) The mid-list: Advice for a pre-interview
4) The in-person visit process (job talk, campus tours and meetings): What is that experience is like? What might people expect?
5) Overall Insights

We are very excited to have these three panelists who can share rich and varied perspectives from various career stages!


We will be starting at 3:00pm sharp. Please RSVP to LLED Grad Peer Advisors by March 12 if you plan to attend, so we know numbers for refreshments!
