The Global Research Collective on Anti-Oppressive Language Education would like to invite you to our next event in the Critical Conversation series: A Critical Conversation with Dr. Gerald Roche. The event will feature a moderated conversation with Dr. Roche about his scholarship, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
Bio
Dr. Gerald Roche is a lecturer in linguistics at La Trobe University in Australia. His most recent book is The Politics of Language Oppression in Tibet and he previously edited the Routledge Handbook of Language Revitalization. His academic articles have appeared in journals such as Annual Review of Anthropology, State Crime Journal, Language in Society, Language & Communication and others. You can also find his writing in The Nation, Politics and Rights Review, Jacobin, ROAR Magazine, and elsewhere.
