The goal of this Aboriginal Literacy K to 12 Symposium is to support teachers, librarians, administrators, community members, academics, and other education representatives to enhance literacy learning with Aboriginal perspectives, content, and pedagogies, as well as consider strategies and goals for improving literacy outcomes for Aboriginal learners.

Support for this Symposium is provided by: UBC Faculty of Education’s Department of Language and Literacy Education, the Professorship of Indigenous Education in Teacher Education, Native Indian Teacher Education Program (NITEP), the Office of Indigenous Education, and UBC’s First Nations House of Learning.
