Kaye is a PhD Candidate with the Department of Language and Literacy Education, whose work is supported by a UBC Four Year Fellowship and a Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship-SSHRC. She has earned a MA in Health Promotion and an Honours BA in Sociology (Social Justice). Kaye’s work stems from her deeply held commitment to advancing sexuality and gender equity. Having a body of scholarship that spans the fields of sexual health promotion and sexuality education, Kaye’s current research draws from the interdisciplinary field of Sensory Studies to research educators’ body-based experiences of teaching and learning comprehensive sexual education pedagogy. Kaye’s academic highlight has been serving as an invited academic presenter for the House of Commons of Canada’s Standing Committee on Health. Kaye also serves on the Board of Directors for Options for Sexual Health Association. She loves collecting seaglass, eating nachos and writing small stories.
