Evgeniya is a PhD student in Language and Literacy Education with a particular interest in game studies and games-related education. Her research interests include systematic portrayals of romance and intimacy in games and digital media, mechanical representations of psychological trauma in games, subversions of player agency, and procedural approaches to identity formation of avatars in games. She is also an aspiring visual novel writer, a game scholar, a Russian, and a recent graduate from the University of Alberta Master’s program in Digital Humanities.
