Deb Bergman Wood



Deb Bergman Wood is a high school English teacher who grew up in BC’s interior and now teaches in the Langley school district. She finished an undergrad degree in History and English before completing her BEd. She became interested in adolescent literacy through teaching adapted English classes and Communications 11 and 12. A voracious reader, Deb intends to research the use of literature in the secondary classroom. Some of her other interests are adolescent literacy and gender, genre fiction (such as SF) and adolescent literacy, and the multimodality of current literacy practices.
