2024W Graduate Peer Advisors (GPAs)

The Department of Language & Literacy Education is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Graduate Peer Advisors (GPAs) for the 2024-25 academic year.

The role of the LLED GPAs is to organize academic and social events for graduate students in LLED, consult with students who have concerns or questions about their programs or about the university, liaise with Faculty of Education graduate student groups, and in general, help ensure that the graduate student experience is a rewarding one for everyone. GPAs are expected and encouraged to organize functions that support the outreach and growth of peer research initiatives. A focus on community engagement and outreach is encouraged. Outgoing Peer Advisors also act as mentors for the new Peer Advisors in the following term. The position may be held for two consecutive years.
