Fluke Audio: Antics of a Cultural Recycler (November 2012 – July 2013)

This project explores the revaluation of cultural resources that have been discarded, become obsolete, or have otherwise entered the cultural waste stream. This project revolves around the narrative character of a post-apocalyptic treasure hunter trying to make sense of a devastated world in which only fragments of meaning exist, without coherence, fragments whose relevance has been lost and must be recreated. Through the use of recombinant poetics and hundreds of gleaned artifacts, it poses the research question, how will we know what information to keep and what to delete for future generations? Funding Agency: Canada Council for the Arts.
