Biography

Caroline Hamilton holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Smith College and an MA in Education from Stanford University. Teaching fourth grade in California public schools led her to consider how students might draw on literary conceptions of physical, cultural, and social belonging—particularly in support of their own narratives and diverse modes of self-expression. She is most interested in examining contemporary young adult fiction and the ways in which readers engage with those texts.
